Too far?

I am just going to back away! I do not like confrontations, especially when you can't talk to the person face to face! At first I thought the whole thing was silly, then it got out of hand and I was aggravated! I would just like to drop off the face of the world at this moment. I have never dropped a comp and I have never questioned a judge until now! And I feel like crap! Taking a break and hoping it just dies away! Knowing the forums it won't, I have created a monster! I apologize for any hurt feelings, it was never my intention! I am truly saddened!

I really hate the Sims 3 site right now.
Because it gives me no way to send you a message in reply.
(This is penskii)

I just wanted to say thank you, and apologize for the way I acted.

Maybe in the future I should stick to Legacies and Storytelling.

Anyway, I think everyone should just shake hands, including myself. I understand what you mean about a tight knit group of people, and I shouldn't have forced my way in so...obnoxiously.

I hope everyone can walk away from this on good terms.

AND, I am sorry I had to hunt down your blog to send you this message, but unless I friend and comment you on your Sims 3 page, I really have no other way of getting ahold of you. D= lame.

Did I open a can of worms? Sorry but you know me blunt as a.....really blunt thing.
I'm protective of the modeling community and I hate to see people getting treated unfairly, or others not given the tools to succeed.

I do however have this thing where I can't understand why people would enjoy something if they suck at it, so I can be a bit lacking in empathy when it comes to people who are ''just doing it for fun''

I shall go and read the thread now and see how much of a punch in the face I got for my comments hehe....and don't worry I was expecting them, I never take anything personally.

Penskii, I am truly sorry things happened the way they did. In reality no one should tell you how to run your comp. However,we are creatures of habit! I for one am very guilty of this. The sims and modeling people are great! I have made some awesome friends there and we were all new at one time or another. I find the community extremely helpful and kind (most of the time). I wouldn't have learned or improved if it wasn't for them. In return, I would be more than willing to help a newcomer and have in the past. Even in the same comp.

There is no reason as to why you couldn't start a comp, but I would suggest to maybe lurk a few popular comps and see how they go. I wouldn't judge a comp until I participated in quite a few and just recently hosted one after being involved in comps for a year.
Having another judge is also a way to go, so the contestants get different perspectives.

I love the idea that you took the time to make comments, so many judges are lacking in that area. You also pointed out positives with negatives in all the pics, something contestants truly appreciate.

We are a nice community and are willing to help, sorry it didn't come off that way. If I could I would stop people from commentin. Maybe starting a new thread for assignment 3 will put all this behind.

I appreciate you coming and commenting on my blog, it helped me to feel better. Again, I apologize for ruining your thread. Let me know if I can help in any way! Shakes hand.

PK, <3 you! Don't have to tell you that twice. No worries! I know you are a good peep!

I wouldn't say we were telling her how to run her comp......we were merely pointing out the unfairness in her scores, the personal preference observations that were causing people to score lower than actual technical mistakes.

Experience in the modeling community is whats lacking, none of what I said was meant to be taken personally, I just have the development of better modeling contestants at heart......the better the competition out there the more fun, challenging and interesting this hobby becomes.

I actually think I might open up a position as a second judge, since nothing I say seems to be fixing anything.

Anyway, I'm glad we can shake hands on this! -shakes hand-

I'm glad my commenting here was not out of line, because I didn't want to bring thread drama onto YOUR blog. I spend a lot of time on the 'net, and I know a lot of times peoples blogs are a sort of safe haven, so it'd be horrible of me to bring that here.

Love it how she takes a jab at me whenever possible on her comp thread, real mature and professional host. There was no flame war, no one was attacking you....no need to be so delicate.

If you can't take some criticism, or help from those that have done this longer than you have, then maybe you should stick to the legacy/stories section.
